Fort Worth has conducted a community survey every two years to assess satisfaction with city services. This year, a city news release states the six-page survey will soon be mailed to a random sample of 8,000 households in Fort Worth and will also be available to residents online.

The news release states, to help administer the 2024 survey, the city partnered with ETC Institute. The company has conducted previous surveys for the city and will provide historical information and comparative data from other cities across the state and nation.

According to the news release, residents who received the survey will be contacted by email or phone approximately 10 days after the mailing. Those who have indicated they have not completed the survey will have the option of completing it online or by phone. Interviews will be conducted in English and Spanish.
The news release states ETC Institute officials will monitor the distribution of the survey to ensure it reasonably reflects the demographic composition of the city with regard to the following factors:
- Age
- Geographic dispersion
- Gender
- Ethnicity
All council districts are equally represented in the survey, according to the news release. Results from the survey will be presented to City Council and will help provide guidance to staff in terms of formulating the upcoming city budget.
