Priorities for the Future
Overland Park’s mayor, City Council and City leadership use survey results to set policy and budget priorities.
“These results are a powerful testament to the hard work of our Governing Body and staff, and the high standards our residents have for their community,” said City Manager Lori Curtis Luther. “While I am incredibly proud of our team for delivering service levels that are nearly 40% above the national average, we aren’t resting on these numbers. We are already using this feedback to sharpen our focus on our priorities in order to ensure we remain a national leader for years to come.”
The survey also indicates that Overland Park’s highest priority areas are maintenance of City streets and traffic flow/congestion management on major streets. These are the same areas where the City made major improvements in the 2026 survey. They will continue to be a priority in years to come.
