Water and Wastewater Utility Survey

ETC Institute administered a Water and Wastewater Utility Survey for the City of Fort Worth during the summer of 2018. The purpose of the survey was to assess citizen satisfaction with the delivery of utility services. A six-page survey was mailed to a random sample of households in the City of Fort Worth. Approximately seven days after the surveys were mailed, customers who received the survey were contacted by e-mail to encourage participation. Respondents were also given the option of completing online (www.fortworthwatersurvey.org).

Of the households that received a survey, 1,615 completed the survey. The results for the random sample of 1,615 households have a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least +/- 2.4%. There were no statistically significant differences in the results of the survey based on the method of administration (mail vs. online). In order to better understand how well utility services are being delivered by the City, ETC Institute geocoded the home address of respondents to the survey.
