About the City of Tamarac Surveys

Resident. ETC Institute administered a survey to resident of the City of Tamarac. The purpose of the survey was to gather information on residents’ level of satisfaction with City services and to gather residents’ opinions regarding various other topics. Input received will be used to help City leaders know where they are doing well and where they can improve; to make certain they are making decisions that align to the needs of residents and prioritizing services that will positively impact the community.

Business. ETC Institute administered a survey to businesses in the City of Tamarac. The survey was part of the City’s ongoing strategic planning process designed to involve the community in long-range planning decisions and to determine how well the City is meeting the needs of businesses in Tamarac. The survey was administered using a combination of mail, phone, and internet to a random sample in the City of Tamarac. .

Employee. The survey was designed to objectively assess overall satisfaction with employment at the City and to gather input from employees about issues in nine major areas: equipment and resources, employee recognition, work environment, communication, empowerment, professional development, compensations and benefits, leadership and managerial effectiveness, and strategic direction. Participation in the survey was voluntary and employees could complete the survey during work hours or at home. To maintain confidentiality, employees were given postage‐ paid envelopes to return their survey directly to ETC Institute.

Police. The purpose of this survey was to gather information about the quality of law enforcement services provided in the community. Input received will be used by City leaders to (a) understand resident opinions regarding police services, (b) better comprehend resident satisfaction with BSO-Tamarac services, and (c) know how to better serve the community and meet resident needs through law enforcement services.
