For most employees, Coconut Creek is a great place to work.
During the August 28 meeting, a representative from ETC Institute, a public policy market research firm, presented an analysis of the recent employee survey results.
For the 2025 survey, 340 surveys were returned, and it was found that more than 90 percent of respondents considered Coconut Creek a good place to work and were very satisfied with their jobs. Most respondents said they would recommend the city as a good place to work to family and friends. The one area of concern among employees was health insurance, with some wanting more health benefits.
Mayor Jackie Railey said she was excited about the results and pleased with the leadership of City Manager Sheila Rose. “It is not easy to get a 90 percent satisfaction result, and Rose has worked hard to ensure that employees are happy and engaged. She has conducted team-building activities and encouraged wellness,” said Railey.
Commissioner John Brody said that he would have liked the survey to have more opportunities for open dialogue, where employees could write down how they actually felt about their work experience with the city.
