Survey Developer / Programmer

The Survey Developer / Programmer will be part of the Systems team and will provide support to our Data team. He or she will be tasked with acquiring and preparing geospatial data including transit agency GTFS files, place name databases, transportation and boundary GIS layers, and other vector and tabular data in a variety of formats. The SDP must know, or be able to quickly learn, the Limesurvey environment to actively support the creation and quality control of complex surveys, including GIS data integration and JavaScript customization. Many of these tasks are complex and require excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate would also provide programming support for the Data Team which is a heavy user of Microsoft products.

Desired Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or related and at least a year of on-the-job experience.
Software Skills: MySQL; JavaScript and PHP; Python and/or R highly desired. The ideal candidate would also be able to work in the MS SQL Server environment.
